Wow! "Edge Checking" (ability to refuse emails during the SMTP connection, either based on IP address or after the DATA command) has been so many years overdue and forced most serious users to front-end IMail with a more capable gateway product or hardware. I'm glad to see that IMail is finally being brought up to current best practices.
The rewritten SMTP service may exhibit some early problem - but hopefully it will enable many long-missed capabilities - such as the ability to extend the product through "open" third plug-ins.
