Did you say FREE healthcare and meds?
Yes I did….and I enjoy passing on news like this!

Nurse In A Box
I’ve just read about the Take Care Recovery Plan that Walgreens has set up to provide free healthcare visits for patients and their families who have lost their jobs and are uninsured. Walgreens will offer free clinic visits for the rest of the year providing tests and routine treatment for minor ailments through its walk-in clinics. Under the Take Care Recovery Plan, patients can access these services anytime between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m., Monday through Friday. The clinics, which are staffed by nurse practitioners, normally charge $59 for a visit.
Free Meds
I was in Publix Supermarket last week to pick up a prescribed antibiotic for my son. When I brought out my beaded silk purse to pay, the pharmacist told me the prescription was totally free. Cool! I did a little research and found that the southern US based grocery chain has made seven of the most common prescription antibiotics available for free (to anyone) at all 684 of the chain’s pharmacies in five Southern states. The prescription antibiotics available under the program are amoxicillin, cephalexin, sulfamethoxazole/trimethoprim, ciprofloxacin, penicillin VK, ampicillin and erythromycin. So if you live in one of the five sunny southern states of the US, next time you head to the doc have this list printed out and take it with you to so he or she can try to write you an affordable script.
Now, that news should make you feel better! Thumbs up to the organizations that are committed to lending a hand in a tight economy!
