Our work is never done!
“We cannot become what we want to be by remaining what we are.” – Max DePree
So we’ve made improvements! Ipswitch Messaging Division is very proud to announce the release of IMail Server v11.01 today. Months of hard work have gone into our most recent release and we’re very proud of the finished product. Congrats to everyone on the Ipswitch IMail Server team for a great launch!
So what’s new? What different? What’s fixed? Let me tell you…..
With the release of v11.01, we’ve added the following features:
DomainKeys and DKIM (Domainkeys Identified Mail). DomainKeys is a domain-level email authentication standard that uses public/private key encryption and DNS to prove the legitimacy and contents of an email message. DKIM is very similar in functionality to DomainKeys, with an enhanced standard that provides more flexibility and security.
iPhone™ mobile devices are now supported as part of IMail Server’s mobile synchronization to include email, contacts and calendar events.
Microsoft Exchange ActiveSync® Protocol. While the EAS protocol was first offered in IMail v11, it is now required under Microsoft Intellectual Property rights that users be required to purchase licenses in order to utilize this function. Licenses can be purchased on a per user basis. For a limited time, customers who are entitled to IMail v11 will be eligible to receive a free EAS subscription for up to 5 users. To redeem the free subscription, go to www.imailserver.com/EAS5.
New user interface in your Web and Console Administrator to maintain your Microsoft Exchange ActiveSync® user licenses.
New System Message for Web Client users. This provides capability for the Administrator to display a message for all Web Client users at the log in page.
IMail Antivirus powered by BitDefender® has new and improved user interface functionality, along with new automated virus definition updates. Queue Manager has also been enhanced to handle all the virus definition updates without requiring service restarts.
:: New user interface can be found on the IMail Administrator > Antivirus page.
:: New notification of days left to license expiration
:: Date/Time of the last successful Antivirus update.
:: Option to enable/disable the automatic virus definition updates. With a default setting of 4
hours to check for virus definitions.
:: A new “Update Now” button is available should a manual virus definition update be required.
:: “AVUpdate.exe” is no longer required to update your virus definitions with IMail Server v11.01 or later. The program is still delivered with the installation to allow existing configurations to continue pulling updates using the old method.
